Beavers are young people aged 6 to 8 who:
- Master new skills and try new things
- Have fun and go on adventures
- Make friends
- Are curious about the world around them
- Help others and make a difference, on their own doorstops and beyond
Every week, they gather in groups called Beaver Colonies to hop, skip and jump their way through lots of different games and activities – achieving anything they set their minds to, and having lots of fun along the way.
We have two colonies – a Tuesday and Wednesday.

Uniform
Beaver uniform consists of a blue sweatshirt with your badges sewn on and a neckie. Below are where the badges go on the uniform.
Badges and Awards
Completing awards challenges you to do more, learn more and be more. See what’s on offer and start your journey to the top. Become an expert in something you love, or try something shiny and new. There’s a badge to suit each and every Beaver.
Badges at Home
If you’d like to enjoy some scouting activities at home, this booklet will give you ideas of badges that can be completed away from the Colony – please select Tuesday or Wednesday depending which colony you attend:
